The island of Tenerife is usually known for its hot weather, sandy beaches and exciting night life! however there is an alternative side to Tenerife, the sheer peacefulness of the rural volcanic landscape, including picturesque hillside spots, mountain ravines, ancient lava flows and valleys, old villages, volcanic gorges, lush forests and much more wonderful countryside this island presents.

We offer different guided walking and hiking tours to discover the hidden gems and experience the alternative side of Tenerife. Not only will you be accompanied by our guides, but our guides are extremely knowledgeable and will also educate you with facts and information during the tour about the history, environment and local culture etc. 

We offer free pick to the tour location and drop off from Los Cristianos, Playa De Las Americas, Costa Adeje and La Caleta (if your not staying in these areas you will have to make your own way to these areas for the transfer).

The Grand View Walk (with views of Mount Teide Volcano)

This tour is all about the views!! Mainly above 2000 meter altitude and includes picturesque views from its elevated position, including views of Mount Teide!  The destination is Caldera Rim, here you will get to observe the impressive volcanic landscape and mountain ravines, we then make our way back down through the beautiful pine forests and witness some truly stunning view points.

Teno Massif & Forest

 

We explore the untouched and magnificent Teno Mountains, slightly isolated and located in the north west of Tenerife. Our path follows a rising ridge with short steep ascents and boasts amazing views of the laurel forest. We then head into the tropical rain forest which leads to excellent views of the Masca Gorge and Mount Teide (on a clear day). We then complete our tour through a picturesque pine forest into a valley that is flourishing with greenery. Teno Mountains is made up of large volcanic gorges, forests and valleys that is met abruptly by the ocean.

Anaga Mountains

Situated in the north east of the island, the Anaga Mountains remain unspoiled and untouched, consist of mountain ravines, forests, coast line and remote villages. The peacefulness of this rural location is a breathe of fresh air from the noisy tourist locations. Teide National Park and Surrounding Areas

Teide National Park is a geological treasure and should be on everyone’s must see list who visits Tenerife, no wonder it is the most visited attraction on the island which has an area of 18,990 hectares and has been named a world heritage site by UNESCO. Experience the beautiful lunar landscape, volcanic craters, ancient lava rock formations and flows that the park and surrounding areas presents, from its elevated position this area offers picturesque views of the Mount Teide peak itself and neighbouring islands such as La Gomera, El Hierro and La Palma. Please note: this is not a walk to the peak of Mount Teide Volcano, we walk the surrounding environment which comes under the Teide National Park and other parts of the surrounding areas.

We offer walks every day of the week. Please contact us for availability. 

We start in the morning and try to return back to your drop off location by approx 4:00pm. 

 


Must bring items

  • Appropriate foot wear (no sandals)
  • Picnic lunch
  • Minimum 1 litre of water per person
  • Warm or waterproof jacket
  • Sun cream

 

Please let us know of any medical conditions beforehand such as heart condition or diabetes. 

We reserve the right to change the tour due to bad weather conditions to an alternate walk on the island that has more suitable weather conditions.  We are very knowledgeable about weather in Tenerife and are constantly checking weather reports.
