Mount Teide & National Park
Mount Teide Volcano is the 3rd tallest volcanic structure on earth! and the highest peak in Spain! The surrounding area of the mountain is established as Teide National Park, which is a geological treasure and should be on everyone’s must see list who visits Tenerife. Masca Valley
Situated on a mountain side ridge, the village clings to the edge with steep ravines either side, it’s regarded as the most beautiful village on the island and is certainly a must see place. The journey alone is not only mind-blowing but full of picturesque scenery, in-fact there wasn’t a road leading to Masca until 1991 and has been regarded as the forgotten village, with only a population of around 90 people! In recent years Masca village has become a huge tourist attraction on the island, I mean who wouldn’t want to witness this hidden gem? walk the cobblestone paths experience the unique atmosphere surrounded by amazing scenery.
Itinerary
This jeep safari starts from Playa De Las Americas, our entourage of around 4-5 jeeps (depending how busy) includes 8 passengers per jeep, we begin ascending the Tenerife hillside through the pine forests and mountain ravines and the first stop is the pretty village of Vilaflor (which is the highest village in Spain). We will observe some stunning view points across the island before heading to the Teide National Park, with great views of the great Mount Teide itself. Subsequently will visit several other places of interest within the park and Pico Viejo, which is a nearby inactive volcano. Finally we will make our way on an exciting ride to the wonderful Masca Village. During the 7 hour tour we will stop to eat in a restaurant in the quaint town of Tamaimo.
